Read on another board that the lcrs had/have a melting problem. The poster added he heard nothing but bad about them.

Seems so to me.Fake News?
That is a good question, I recently had a 1991A1 Colt for refinishing (bluing) the slide was in acceptable condition for a handgun of that vintage. The frame and the firing mechanism was completely rusted. My conclusion was that the owner used brake cleaner to de-crud the frame without re-lubing then carried the firearm around under the front seat of the vehicle "for protection". We all know a firearm under the seat is not easily accessed and is not much "protection". A little lubrication goes a long way to keep a firearm protected from the elements and to keep it functioning.Riiight. What are they cleaning them with?
Fake news. LCRs don't melt under normal use. Throw it in a fire and sure it will melt.
Bet if you check the posts of whoever claimed that there will be lots of comments about Tupperware, knock down power and favoring of 45 AARP.
Never had a melting problem with any of mine, but I don't put them in the oven on the "clean" cycle either.Read on another board that the lcrs had/have a melting problem. The poster added he heard nothing but bad about them.
