Has anyone bothered to contact Jack Huntington at JRH Advanced Gunsmithing?

I sent a Uberti Cattleman in .357 to him several years ago and presto-chango it came back a .41 Special...

Rechambered the cylinder and sent the barrel out to be bored to .410...that was it...

He can probably do a New Vaquero or Original about as easy...
There is one on Gunbroker now.

I went back and forth for months about getting a S&W Model 57 (.41Mag), but in the end settled with keeping both my .357 and .44 firearms. The .41 is harder ammo to find and pricey, which would force me to set-up a. .41 reloading station which I'd rather not do anymore.

I just wish they would do a run of Blackhawk 41 mags with 6 1/2" barrel. In a perfect world they'd be stainless, but I'd live with blue if that's all I could get.

You could wait years for a production run. Life's too short. There were thousands made in the old model, tens of thousands made in blue in the New model, and about 6000 were made on the new model flat top large frame in blue. CORRECTION; ONLY 1400 WERE MADE, NOT 6000.

Shouldn't be that hard to find one. And even one in like new condition.

Personally, I don't see a reason for one. I have/had several 41 Blackhawks. Carried one (4.5" OM) while I guided on hogs during grad school. Wife has a 6.5" OM Blackhawk for woods walking here in bear country.

I'm gonna hope for World Peace and Kumbaya instead .
Cuz that unlikely impossibility is gonna happen BEFORE Ruger makes a 41 Vaquero.
Happy New Year.

...don't know where you got your Flat Top numbers but when I called William's Distributing was told there were only 119 of the 4 5/8" and 181 of the 6.5" guns made for them. If there were 6k made there would be lots of them floating around for sale on the auction sites...

Sorry Bob, I didn't realize the flattop frame was a must have feature. But you could do what I've done, remove the buttress on either side of the rear sight.

Or was it the chamber alignment feature of the new model flattop that was wanted? That's also a piece of cake to add to any new model. The few little parts are even free from Ruger. If interested just ask and I'll send part numbers and installation steps.
