Found Ruger No.1 in a 38-55 caliber!.

At last I got a Ruger No,1 in a 38-55 caliber with a very nice stock and forearm match well. Got to love Tulsa! Been quite a few years looking for a nice No.1.
Alot of great guns buying & selling.

congratulations they are not easy to find let alone in nice shape and lately they been bringing so serious money im glad i bought mine about 15 years ago

Congrats on your #1 No1. They are addictive. With the prices where they are now I keep getting tempted to part with some of mine.

I am tempted to sell some of mine, I go through the the list, and find nothing I can part with. Good news is I have interest in only 1 new one that has never been made: a 327 Fed No. 1. Been asking for a LONNNNG time to see a short run of these.

I just picked one up a couple weeks ago.
Mine has a .279 groove diameter and a 2.135 chamber length.
So it should like the longer brass, if you can find some.
I have some .279, .280, and .281 lead bullets loaded. Just waiting for this weather to break.
So, I can start my load development.

Second on a 327 mag #1

Just missed a 38-55 at Tulsa years ago. Guy in front of me was looking at it and I was hoping he would put it down and walk away, but nope, he bought it (the last one the guy had)

There's a Stainless/Laminated one at the LGS in my town in .405 Win. I have no interest, but I will pass along info to any of you. I also have a few factory Hornady boxes of ammo, that I would part with for a fair ( not giveaway ) price. Located in Western Nevada.

I happened on to one of those .38-55 Number 1 guns a few years back too.
