Those two revolvers are factory original other than the softening of the heel and toe of the grip frame on the shorty. The 5-1/2" barreled model (NM) is the only one I know of with a fluted cylinder.
I finally managed to open and see all uploaded pictures (internet isue), and was surprised to see how many short barrel SBH are out there. Well, looks like I am slipping behind market.
Talking about SBH with fluted cylinder, I wanted badly stainless Bisley in 44 Magnum and with fluted cylinder. Unfortunately, while residing in Canada at that time, nobody imported stainless Bisley in any caliber. The only one I had seen was Hunter model with that massive rib and notches for scope mount, but I suspect that one was imported privately from USA.
I first managed to get stainless Bisley Vaquero in 45 Colt, later purchased brand new stainless SBH 5.5", and after parts swapping, I finally have this:
I already got from Belt Mountain #5 base pin (without screw) and new base pin latch, but things didn't go straight. I couldn't find micrometer, so I ordered "same dia as a factory pin". That was a mistake, because factory pin is .248", but new pin came .249", and it makes action stiff, so I have to sand it.
