Six months ago I found a pair of concurrent Buckeys (one 32-20, one 38-40) unfixed with both cylinders and boxes, unfortunately no shipping sleeves. This week I picked up another pair that are consecutive to the first pair. Also nib no sleeves. What an awesome find.

Welocme to the Forum.... nice find, so you have a "matched" pair as well as 2 "consecutive" pairs...... back then if John ( buckeye Sporting goods) sold you the one gun you had the chance the following year to get the "same" number but in the later caliber ( prefix differed) we never took advantage of that back then as we were not into Blackhawks and none of the customers wanted BOTH, the shop up the road did have a couple of customers took advantage of the offer....so all in all a tough find to put together, bet it was the same owner or maybe the family??? Again, nice find........(y)

Same original owner. His daughter had them on consignment at a LGS. I'm pretty sure she had no idea, they were all for sale separately with no mention of them being pairs or consecutive. Dumb luck on my part to find them.

....good for you, "stuff happens" and at times for the GOOD< look s like it went as I had noted above the same family got the guns when made available,,,glad they were NOT "split up".............I sold one set last fall, the two Buckeyes did NOT "match" but I also had the following years 44.-44/40 convertible and sold the three some for $3500 the week before the Tulsa show.....Did I say those Buckeyes back then were like $350 plus, a gun........GOOD investment.......:rolleyes:;)
