Veterans Day passes, and this old "Forty one for freedom" veteran is still longing for this overdue special run.....................

Just reading the other thread about the .41 Bisley.

So are you wanting a Bisley Vaquero? I think Ruger currently makes a 357 Bisley Vaquero, not sure about other calibers. That would be pretty nice. Perhaps a 5 shot? I'd buy one.

Good luck with this thread.

... And Lipsey's / Ruger would make a run of .41s for just 40 guys? Especially when there are (.429) .44 Mag and .44 Special and (.452) .45 Colt revolvers out there? Sounds like custom may be the way to go here guys if you want a unique .41 :D . Just say'n .

You have an objective and tangible point. I am not a marketing guy, however if 40 folks want it on a narrowly focused forum, is it a stretch to imagine there's probably 3-4 times as many folks who would buy them if made? Hell, the distributors are selling 100-250 unit special runs with nothing different but grips, sights, or CCH added. They sell out pretty damn fast it seems. Then again what do I know?

My input again, 41 mag on the old Vaquero frame, 5.5 inch barrel, blued with wood grips and blued steel grip frame. Two please.

The whole point of THIS exercise is to get a 41 mag on the new Vaquero MID frame.
Personally I'd take two of a 41M on the mid size Flattop frame.

My hat is off to smith1961 for keeping this thread going for so long. I myself would buy 5 if this ever happens. Either large or mid frame Vaquero.

Honestly, Ruger has produced so many versions of Blackhawks and RedHawks, I don't get that they haven't made any Vaqueros. I would have to find a way to buy one if they did.

What happened to American resourcefulness and creativity?
All the parts are out there so with a little initiative and taking the bull by the horns you could have been shooting one 9 years ago.
You were given all the correct answers on how to get one going way back on the first page ,,,, then you slipped back into wanting someone to do it for you.
In this time of production inadequacies, they are not even keeping up with what they already offer .
Lipsey's already has lists of special-order requests for small order boutique production projects,,,, that it cannot get initiated.
Ruger is all bound up with launching lever guns and odd plastic pistols. Their plate is full for years to come.
You better just build what you want.

Has anyone bothered to contact Jack Huntington at JRH Advanced Gunsmithing?

I sent a Uberti Cattleman in .357 to him several years ago and presto-chango it came back a .41 Special...

Rechambered the cylinder and sent the barrel out to be bored to .410...that was it...

He can probably do a New Vaquero or Original about as easy...
