New Model?
Old Model?
Share part of the serial number to help us date it.

Contender, It's a old model, 6 1/2" S47 I have the letter sating that it shipped as such.
Ive had the gun for about 10 years or so and was thinking of selling my safe queens off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is an S47 a Super Blackhawk 44Mag.?
If so, would it not be a 7 1/2 bbl...???
AND, if an old model (3-screw).... in 95%, with box etc., it's value might depend, somewhat on the region of the country ?
To a shooter/hunter, I would GUESS value at about $600 where I live.
IMHO of course.... I'm not a collector/accumulator so take it for what it's worth.

stikshooter, nice gun and if you have the
"complete" box ( the shipper included) then you can get a very good price ..last one we sold some time ago was in the $1250 range, a mint in the box S-47 44 mag ) .............. not cutdown by the factory by "mistake", we sold for $900...........yes , a good one for any "Super " collector............wish I still had the early one we had years ago sold to the 'appleman' Bill E., at least it back in the family here in NE OHio, not only a 6 1/2 inch OM Super .44, guess you call it an S-46??? BUT also an "S" gun.......;)

Ok, A MINT condition gun like that would bring around $1600 according to the RENE price guide. A 95% gun, if NRA graded properly, would likely be in the $1200 or so range. Then the box,, can add some to that. If the shipper is included,,, then the prices goes up even further.

Johnnu2,, yes,, as noted above,, there were a number of the 7-1/2" guns actually shipped with a 6-1/2" bbl. It was a mistake as Terry said.
Often it's called a S-47,, OR,, a S47-6-1/2"
A factory letter is mandatory to secure the higher pricing.

There is a listing of known 6-1/2" Super Blackhawk serial numbers in the collector section. If yours isn't on that list, be sure to let us know so we can add it.
Thanks!!
