1956 well used shooter, customized,… it came with the unusual front brass bead sight that the original owner had put on when new, I added a one hole rear peep blade, Brass grip frame, antique stags, Super Hammer.

50 years later (2006) the New Model 50th Anniversary, Superized using a RW Brass Hunter grip frame, Super hammer.

SBH 7 1/2" I got in 1979, cut down in the 1980's, replaced the SBH grip fame
with a SS BH grip frame in the 2010's

Of course Ruger started making SBH's with 4 5/8" barrels in SS and Blue in the
1990's. Then in the 2010's they made these:

They are mostly retired from Keith loads now!

At one point I owned 2 NIB Anniversary model 44 Flat tops, both from this forum. Plan was to customize one to my liking as a retirement gift to myself. About a month before retirement, June of 2016, had arrived early for a Dr appt and there was a nearby LGS. Killing time, walked in there and saw a NM SBH with Elk grips. Asked about it, clerk said it was a consignment of one of their employees and he'd be in later that afternoon. Left my cell and the employee called me a few hrs later. Said he was original owner, never warmed up to SAs, as he was a S&W collector. Long story short, paid $400 out the door for it, felt like I stole it. Before and after below. I did my small bit of customization and this is the result! Wound up selling both Anniversary models, as this is "good enough" for me and makes the same size holes. Thanks, Bill
