I would like to get some input about this handgun and it's value. I've had it for years so thought I'd be interesting.
1958 Ruger, Alloy Frame, Single 6 Lightweight, 4 5/8 Barrel, XR3 Grip, Full & 1/2 Cock, 3 screw Flat Top, 22 long ammo.
Thank you

Nice gun.
I'd venture a guess of $700 with the correct grips.
Warning …. I am NOT the Lightweight expert here.

Nice gun, and if they are actually REAL pearl, they are worth quite a bit, are they made for the Ruger or is the back side have an "extra" locating pin hole , ala "Colt" Single Action Army, have seen the Colt grips "made/modified ' to fit the Rugers, they are that close, except for the locating pin hole............and yes your LW is the third model having the 'steel' cylinder instead of the all blued with the aluminum cylinder,,,which is actually .22 Long rifle, so can shoot Longs as well as Shorts. nice gun, and my bet if with real Pearl grips would be worth even MORE...its a "keeper";)

Agree with the above, the steel cylinder Lightweight is the least collectible variation so the gun in the condition without the grips is probably $600 and the correct grips would cost you about $100. The pearly grips are worth about $20 if plastic, but if real they might bring $400. I sold a set of real pearl XR3 grips in the Classifieds a few years ago and I think they went for around $350 but had a small chip. They were Pointer Pup brand according to a sticker on the inside.

I appreciate all your comments, but you're questions are answers I need. Everything on the gun is original and the Pearl Handle is real. I took it to a Gun Smith and he was very knowledgeable about the gun. But I only wrote down the major specifics about it, too much info to list. Thank you for your interest, wish I could remember all the answers 😂

the questions I had referred to was for you to actually look at , tell us, or take a picture of the backs of the grips, this is the ONLY way to try and help you turn the questions, into answers, as for the guns it is what it is, we can see and tell from the pictures ( good ones by the way) and the values above are pretty close, and you already "knew" it was a LW and made in 1958, "and so it goes....." Wil Terry RIP:cool:;)

Oh ok, thank you. Do you mean unscrew the grips to view? Never done this before, so it's all new to me. I've always used rifles, only used handguns as an Officer and then it was only to qualify, so no real experience. Thanks for your help

So do they give description of grips on reverse side? I appreciate the help, thanks

just unscrew the grip screw ,proper sized driver and when putting them back on do NO over tighten them,,,pearl can crack and chip quite easily....look at the back side, if made for the Ruger will only have 2 screw holes, as well as a cut out at the top front of each panel....locating holes at the bottom, front edge should be ONE hole, if another one is near, adjacent to the other hole, means it was relocated and was from a Colt Single action....there "may" be a number marked on the back , this was used by grip makers to keep them together as a "set"...........a picture of the back side would really help us.....:rolleyes:;)
...also add .22 Long Rifle to the shells you can use in there.......
