Here's a Shooting Times profile on the Lipsey's "Distributor Exclusive" adjustable-sight Bearcat, from December 2015:

The adjustable-sight conversions from Alan Harton, Hamilton Bowen, etc. are MUCH "cleaner," to my eye.

They don't have the sight ears on the frame, and the front sights don't look comically tall.

Check out this beautiful stainless conversion, from Sack Peterson's site:
(I linked to Sack's site, so as not to "steal" his photos.)

Perfect, IMHO! This is what Ruger's version COULD HAVE/SHOULD HAVE looked like! I like the fluted cylinder, too… but that's a different subject.

I have a stainless one that was massaged by David Clements and a blue in 32 h&r by Alan Harton with stag from Zack Peterson . Both great shooters! Actually had the blue 22 cylinder, bored out to 22 mag to interchange with the stainless gun! They have become my favorite SA!

I owned one of these adjustable sight Bearcats. The idea was good, but what I discovered, was the towering front sight required a morphodite holster to accomodate that sight. The little revolver went down the road, and shortly after, I finally found a conventional Bearcat which the sight matched my sight picture with the point of impact.

Wow that's horrible!
Thanks, I would have been shocked to buy one and see it in person.
I guess I'll stick to the Smith 63.

Dont know about a morphodite holster, but Barranti makes a neat cross draw that's the berries! Can't post a pic, anybody want to post for me I'll send it to ya! The front sights are Fermin Garzas.
