My favorite target/plinking load is 11.8gr of #2400 under a Lee 93gr RN (6-cav mold!) powder coated and sized .311".
It throws the brass 45deg to the rear and 3' into a nice pile. Most accurate load from my '43 S.G. w/8/43 Underwood bbl. Not very accurate however. 4.5" at 50yds.

For hunting/sd it's the ubiquitous 15.2gr of H110/296 under a 110gr SPT. THE PPU are much cheaper (were) than the Sierra's.
Trim cases frequently and seat to 1.680".
Even my Ruger BH likes the 93gr cast.

The powders you mention are right in the wheelhouse with the 30 Carbine. I have a bunch of IMR 4227 I was given, early 80's vintage, sealed cans. I've been using that.

The 30 Carbine feels like a 10/22 with a little more ooomph. Mine is just a 'Universal' carbine, mid serial number I got at a decent price. By wear makes it lightly used, works fine.
