I was at an old friends of mine last week. He was going through a drawer in his safe and found some old ammo that he gave to me. There is about a dozen or so Remington-UMC "Kleanbore" .38 Smith and Wesson rounds in a tattered old box..... Not sure of the vintage. There may be a round or so added to the box, but I believe they are mostly original.

They sure knew how to design boxes back in the old days.... Even tattered, that box has LOTS of character (maybe it's just because it's OLD... like me).

Very neat!

Now you need to find some .38 S&W "Super Police" 200 grain fatties!

That is the load that Ruger chambered for the 30K "Police Service Sixes" for the Indian national police to replace their worn out 1930s Webleys and Enfields.

In a "Six" I imagine the recoil is not really significant (and Indian police and military ".38-200" ammo was really loaded with a 175 gr FMJ bullet, the Brit WWII load).
