Did Ruger ever mfg the No 1 in .35 Remington? It's a favorite cartridge of mine and wondering if Ruger ever produced any. Thanks in advance.

i too like the 35 remington and have a rem pump 141 in 35 rem, but when i found a #1 in 35 whelen at a good price, i bought it. it does every thing the 35 rem does and more if you want or need extra power. the weight is the same. a rifle i realy like is a TC G2 rifle with a 24: barrel in .375 JDJ and i am shooting a 220 gr hornady at 2300+ fps with 50 grs H-4895 with no pressure, i would like to get the speed up to 2500 fps with a 225 gr btsp with safe pressure, that bullet at 2500 fps would carry 1200+ fpe at 400 yards and 900+ fpe at 500 yards. 200 zero there would be a foot drop at 300 yards and 3 foot drop at 400 yards.

Find a reasonably priced used No 1 and have it rebarreled. I wanted a 357 Max and 32 H&R so that was the only way to get those so I had them made.

Ruger never made one in 35 Rem. I've been waiting for one since 1967. I finally got tired of waiting and bought a new RSI 7x57 and had it re-barrelled, it looked to nice to take hunting in crappy weather so I picked up a used K1-B in 270 and had that one re-barrelled too. The both shoot great and I have taken a couple of deer with both.

Now I am think about taking my 30 Commie 1-A and having it done too.

I guess I am sort of hung up on 35 Rem.

Exactly. That's why I had a couple of 7mm Mags relined to 32-40 (top) and 32-20 (bottom - using a No. 3 action). :)

Old thread back to life, does anyone have information regarding the No.1 in .284 Winchester as listed on the Classis Sporting Arms list? Year, how many? I love this chambering and would like to find one...............more of a unicorn than the 38-55.
