Ruger MKIV bolts

Does anyone know what kind of steel the 2 tone bolts are made of in the MKIV.

I was thinking about removing the rest of the bluing and polishing it to match a stainless MKII. Just not sure how to treat it after that.

it will all polish off ,just make sure you keep it oiled....can strip it off with something like naval jelly or rust remover solvent ( acid combo) just do NOT leave the cylinder it it, and flush it off real well...me I polish them off, and may use the chemicals in the corner (slots) of the cocking ears....hate to get acid on the inside of the bolt ( firing pin or extractor grooves) 8) :roll: :wink:
