My boy went hiking near Mt. Rainier over the weekend.

Don't know any of the story or location, but this is a cell phone photo while on his hike.

Since this photo appears to be near the timberline, (6000'), there's another 8000' of mountain before you're at the top.

A cousin of ours here is in Washington and posted a picture of the mountain recently and pointed out how bare it was when she snapped the photo.

Nice picture!

I’ve always loved Mt Rainier. When we lived up in Seattle, our house was actually in Csrnation, I had a nice view of Mt Rainier driving into work. Then we would go there on the occasional weekend. I’ve hiked half-way up. It gets harder in the second half.
