Today WAYNO and I spent a couple of hours shooting various handguns. I brought three 45ACP's.

Colt Gunsite CCO 1911, RIA GI model 1911 and a S&W Model 1917 revolver. WAYNO brought an SR1911 Commander too, (not pictured). It was a lot of fun!

Well, 2 1911's with what looks like 8 magazines, and a 1917 revolver is one heck of a pic if you were to just have one :)

The irony is I nearly always have a camera, but I often forget to take photos until we're loaded up to leave.

Today was a .45ACP day. With Dave's two 1911's, his 1917, my 1911, and my Birdshead .45ACP that didn't get shot, we made some brass scrounger happy, as well as keeping me busy, cleaning guns.

Since I dropped the ball, I'll re-create what I brung...

Glock 44-.22, New Vaquero Birdshead-.45, Taurus T22, SR1911-10mm, SIG 226-.40, SR1911 CMD-.45

In addition, I brought three long-guns that never left the truck. I never really have a plan on what I'm bringing to shoot. I just start loading up the truck with guns. When the seats are full, I figure that's enough. 8)

That's a great pic, WAYNO :) I'd forgotten you'd gotten another SR1911 in 10mm after the initial fiasco. I don't like to suppose anything, but it's handling full power factory loads, right?

I have tried my best to make this new SR1911-10mm blow up with nuclear loads, but I just am not having any luck.

Really, Dave and I have tried some pretty stout stuff. We've shot it a bunch. And my mailman even gave me a box of Buffalo Bore to try. This pistol just keeps on trucking.

I need that 1917 S&W. Am I in your will? :)

I plan on keeping this revolver for years to come. :D A little better pic... The grips were probably changed out sometime in the last 102 years, but the bluing appears original. My Grandfather carried one of these in the Great War as part of a 2 man machine gun crew. :) Dave
