As in the pin radius on the beavertail? Does the radius on the one Ruger
puts on the SR1911 match other maker's profile so that another maker's
beavertail could be a drop in install? The one on my SR1911 Commander
seems to be somewhat narrower than ones on other of my 1911s from
Baer, Ed Brown, etc. I would prefer one a tad wider left to right than
the Ruger factory issue model but if the geometry on the Ruger ones
is significantly different from others, I have a problem. I also have
a concern on the loop or Commander profile hammer and it also
working with a hypothetically different beavertail

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated...…….thanks.

I'll give it a guess: When building a spin-off of a hundred year old design, it doesn't
pay to make significant changes.

Springfield did, for some obscure reason. They use a .220 radius. Not sure about Ruger, but all others stuck with the standard .250

Call'em and ask.
