I might be in the mood to buy a blackhawk in 44 magnum, prefer 4-5/8 but would consider 5.5 for the right price

I think most guys here have one or two but just preferring to keep them. There are five blued Ruger 44Mag GunBroker currently with barrels 4 5/8 - 5.5".

i am sticking to the 4-5/8" and the only one I see on gunbroker is the pawnshop that want 950 and is in lala land

Okay, blued 44Mag at 4 5/8" narrows it down. That's a pretty clean-looking gun (and no cylinder turn line at all) and $950 looks about right for the past couple years. You'd be hard-pressed to find one much nicer for less money "these days". I think the only way you'll find one cheaper will be if Ruger goes on a production run and instantly floods the market with them. I'm not sure how long you'd have to wait for that, though. Plenty of Ruger single-actions sold for quite a bit more last couple years.

There's no trouble with PMs.

They stay in your Out Box until your target opens them.
Once opened they move to your Sent Box.
