Here are a few old model flattops for sale

1. (SPF) Type One .357 Mag 4-5/8" from 1956
2. (Sold/Gone) Type 2A Transition .357 Mag 4-5/8" from 1957
3. (SPF) Type Two .44 Mag 6-1/2" from 1958
4. (moved to GB) Type Three .44 Mag 6-1/2" from 1959

Descriptions, prices, and pictures follow:

1. Type One .357 Mag 4-5/8" from 1956. This is one of the scarce Type 1 flattops with all the earliest features to include the wavy front sight which is the #1 feature distinguishing the Type 1 from all later flattop variations, serrated ejector rod button, narrow land base pin, capped base pin latch nut, and rear sight adjustment screw with the pointer. Condition is in the 94% range with light to moderate wear. There are a few blotches on the cylinder that may be cold blue. Rare revolver, this configuration was only made from 1955-1956 from SN 1 up into the 73xx range.

2. Type 2A Transition .357 Mag 4-5/8" from 1957.
Sold/Gone $565 shipped FFL to FFL

3. Type Two .44 Mag 6-1/2" from 1958. This 4-digit flattop .44 Mag is just what you want to see in a gun showing holster wear and use, and that is a gun that was well cared for and not abused. All the metal is nice and smooth without pitting and a nice bright blue finish in the areas that the have not worn. The wear is in the typical holstering locations, left muzzle, tip of ejector rod housing, and the high points at the front of the cylinder. Plus a minor ding at the toe of the grip frame. Overall about 95% finish. Nice grain on the walnut panels.

4. Type Three .44 Mag 6-1/2" from 1959. This 5-digit .44 flattop is in very nice condition, about 98% condition with mostly just a light turn line and a light ding on the butt. Just not that much to complain about, so I'll leave it at that.

I'll take number 2,Bob

Sorry Alan, someone claimed it by email before you. I marked it SPF for him about the same time you posted.

I think forum time is Central, so 6:47 is 7:47 eastern and I replied to the other guy at 7:50 that I had just marked that gun SPF to him. He sent his email at straight up 7:00 AM (6:00 AM forum time).
