What pistol calibers has the #1 rifle been offered in over the years? I am considering one in .460s&w. Has it ever been offered in .500s&w?

I know for sure Ruger made the No. 1 in 44 magnum. And I know for sure they are cool little rifles.

I had a couple No.1 converted to 445 SuperMag and 500S&W. The projects took years working with a couple different gunsmiths. Ballistically, the 445 SuperMag is like the 444 Marlin but operates at higher pressure. I did the project initially because I like the idea of buying bullets in bulk and using them in multiple firearms. I absolutely love my two No.1. I will say, though, that sight regulation was a very difficult process because it's much trial and error. NECG (New England Custom Gun) makes the best parts for the rifle. While the two rifles turned out great and I enjoy the "idea" of loading the same projectiles for revolver and rifle, in reality I ended up using different bullets for each gun, meaning, I went with lightweight bullets for 44 Special, mid-weight for 44 Mag, and heavier bullets for the 445SM rifle. The 500S&W is a different animal, though, when using Barnes bullets. I don't know why Ruger hasn't offered this chambering yet. If I had to do it all over again, I would have kept one of them in 45-70 and been done with it. With the throat reamed out to accept the Hornady 500gr solid, there's not much it can't do if the range is kept reasonable. IMO, the No.1 is the ideal rifle for guys (like me) that prefer iron sights. I think for No.1 fans that don't want to do a custom 500S&W, the 475 Linebaugh (or 460S&W) would be great to have.

Well this is good to hear,
I finally found myself a 2012 shipped, No.1, model# 11337, 22" 1-S Medium Sporter,
I really have liked it.

I aquired the 44Mag and with the 20" barrel it feels good but it is a stubby chunk of a rifle.
My No.3 44 Mag with its 22" barrel just feels right, the reason I wanted the first offering 475L with the 22" vs 20" barrel.

One would not think that 2" matters. It is noticeable.
