How many Ruger Hawkeye African rifles were made in 223 REM?

The title says it. I recall they were in the catalogue for only one year, with no mention of them being a distributor special run. I think I remember some on a forum somewhere say they made less than a dozen or so, but that doesn't seem right. Thanks

Not sure. I sold one recently.
