GP100 question

I think some of these went to Canada (??) as police issue guns and then came back into the U.S.

If that's correct, were they in 38 or 357 or both?

Three or four inch or both?

I think they could be found in either stainless or blue and had the compact grip.

Any help is appreciated.... sorry don't have my RENE handy.

You might send a PM to member dantforth who is Canadian and a former LEO. He knows his Ruger DAs and may well know the Canadian police issued ones. Nice guy, too!

I have 4 of the Canadian guns as returned by Century arms. But all mine were sp101s and Service sixes. All stainless and a mix of .357 service sixes and .38 sp-101s.

I also know the 4 " guns were sold by Century to anyone while all the 2" barrel guns were sold only to law enforcement agencies per their agreement with Canada. If you could get the original price sheet from century it would list all the guns by model they sold. I'm not sure there were a y other importers.
