Here's One For The Experts

A listing on Guns America for an OM Flattop .45 Colt revolver. The photos provided are not very detailed, and the serial number that he lists does not come up on Ruger's website. Now I'm not a collector but to my knowledge, Ruger didn't make any flattop revolvers in .45 Colt. So, I would suspect that either this gun was converted and remarked, or ... something.

Am I mistaken? Is this the long lost grail gun? Not associated with the listing in any way, except for curiosity.

And you are absolutely correct, Cholo! I swear that I read .45 Colt there, but obviously I did not.

LOL He could have changed it. I was looking at a gun on Gunbroker and the opening bid was $1,100. The next time I looked, maybe the next morning, it was $1,300 for the opening bid.

Who knows.

Per Bob's List, 28272 would be a .357 Old Model flattop from mid/late 1960. Could have either six or eight rifling grooves at that time. :mrgreen:
