Does anyone know if there were Black Guard Bearcats in the 91 prefix series? Is this rare or normal?

The Blued steel guard generally runs 91-35xxx through 91-64xxx.

I think you are confusing the "blackguard' Bearcats with those that were in the #73,xxx to 76,xxx range like maybe 109 made with a "blackened" aluminumn trigger guard,,,really was "japanned"...was like an India ink application....the ""black" trigger guards of the later Supers ala #91 prefix are "steel", so are "blued"........

I am SO sorry to incorrectly say that my Super Bearcat has a black guard when stupid me should have said no, it is blued. Of course if someone looks at the guard that is "blued" it looks "BLACK" which is what the OP is asking about.
