Nice revolver.

BTW, did you close the gap between hammer curved back and gripframe?

I tried to talk the Lipseys rep I go it last week but the issue of volume was the hang up, not feasibility. Apparently there has been sine other special order set ups where stuff just sat on the shelves so I can understand the reluctance.
Just went today through whole thread and found this post. If Lipseys or any other distributor has Ruger revolvers sitting on the shelves, could they put guns on sale and post on this forum what they have? I've seen on another forums section for distributors and dealers. They regularly post what they have on sale and what they are going to get. Also, they regularly communicate with forum folks for feedback and suggestions.

I think I would settle for a SS 41 blackhawk or a blued one with the Super Blackhawk attributes. When you really look at the standard Ruger options, they are fairly pedestrian. Come on Ruger lets show a little flair!

Well, ok I did forget about the hunter model, but it is the only stainless steel 41 mag that
i can find on Rugers web site. If they made some distributors models, they do not seem to still be available.
Thanks for the info though, at least I know what to look for now.

I hope they make one of these up pretty soon.... or I'm going to have to send off a midframe NM 357 or OM 357 to be converted to 41... and if I'm paying for a custom job then it'll probably be 41 Special instead of 41 mag.

Talking about Blackhawk stainless 41 Magnum, with 4-5/8" barrel:

Did Ruger ever make same revolver with 5.5" barrel?

That is (was) an awesome gun Robb. Just shows that a medium frame .41 works and sells every day of the week. Now if we could get a distributor to make this, or even a Vaquero I could go to my grave content.

Dropped by a local shop this afternoon - very clean S&W model 58 still there - been there for a couple of months now. A bit pricy but still .... nice piece, if a bit heavy for 'carry'. Not all THAT big. :D
Point is...folks aren't scrambling to buy it.

I got tired of looking for RedHawks in 357 mg & 41 mag. My dealer had new s&w on clearance for $699. The m58 in nickel was $699, the m57 / 6" barrel in nickel was $699. Couldn't pass that up. Found s&w m28/m27-2 357. Soon after the RedHawks showed up with 5.5" barrels in stainless. The s&w m58 / 4" barrel handles awesome. I didn't like shorter barrels under 5.5" but the heavier S&W N frame with a 4" barrel in 41 mag handles fine. Any big gun I shoulder holster anyway. I been a ruger fan for about 48 years now.

While a fan of the 41 magnum, I have the stainless Blackhawk Hunter, and the 5.5" stainless Bisley to go with the Marlin 1894FG. With full magnum loads I would prefer as much weight as possible since I am getting old and no longer enjoy recoil. But a lightweight 41 Special would be perfect for everyday use with a 210-230 gr SWC/WFN at 1000fps(+/- 100fps). I could take it in either SA or DA, as long as it was a 41! While a factory option would be nice, I may have to go custom with either a Bisley Blackhawk or GP-100 as the chassis. If Lipsey's or someone else can do a "special" run(pun intended), I would definitely order one. Prefer stainless but blued is fine.

I wish Ruger would go partners with Speer or Hornady and bring out the ".41 Ruger" based on the specs of the Star-line .41spl brass loaded with a 200 to 210gr bullet loaded to 17,000psi. Then they could chamber it in the mid-frame SA platform and the GP100 in a 6shot cylinder. Of course that will probably have to wait til there is not a back log on orders from their sold out factories.............
