I have two ruger sr40 pistols in 40 sw .I really like the pistol but that trigger sucks it's gotta be lighter .I have tried 180 gr8 plated bulkets 165 gr gr8 fmj 180 win hp.It just does not shoot super accurate like I thought it would . The tereible trigger is the biggest problem .It feeds perfict just does not shoot well .I can shoot clover leafs at 50 yards with my dan wesson 357 rem max so it's not me I don't think .I hope to get this Sr 40 to shoot at least 2 inch groups at 25 yards not patterns .It will shoot a few in a group then shoot all over the place .I want to replace the trigger I did that on my ruger 1022 and my groups really got smaller big time .A bad trigger will make you shoot bad .I am about ready to get a hk 40 they have good triggers .

I've got seven SR series pistols and they all have good triggers, in fact, that was one of their selling points. Try removing the magazine safety and then see what you think of the trigger. I removed all of mine (kept them all in the originals boxes) and it takes about 4 to 5 minutes at most to do it. There are a lot of videos out there showing you how.

I always wanted to add an SR40 to my meager gun collection. However I never located one at a price point that I felt good about when I had "gun money". Now that Covid-19 took my higher paying job and health issues occurred for my wife, I don't realistically see one in my future.

DGR416, I hope that you get your SR40 to shoot the way that you want it to.

Me too I really like the pistol except for the trigger .Cdnn had them on clearance when I got mine was a bargin and the stainless slide one less rust .I like the safety and the chamber indicator and the mag safety .I never liked glocks because of no safety .I just saw a guy accident my shoot himself and his brother with a glock trying out a new holster .I wish this had a trigger like my stoger luger 22 I can hit clay targets with it at 75 yards .It has a two pound trigger .If I get neat three pounds with this ruger sr40 I will be happy .The mushy 6 pounds like it is now is not good .I did the same with my hk 91 from a 14 pound trigger to a psg1 2.5 pound trigger .

First the disclaimer: I don't own a SR series pistol & I haven't used any of Galloway precisions products. Second. Galloway Precision sells trigger kits for the Ruger SR series pistols.

Except they never seem to have them in stock. :-(

Sorry, I didn't know. I think I remember them being discussed at some point. The man that started Galloway used to post here but it has been a long time.
