Is the LCP II made in two different locations? I ask because I was looking at a photo of a LCP II with the laser attached and noticed the slide said: RUGER PRESCOTT AZ USA

My LCP II slide says: MAYODAN NC USA

Not an expert and I for sure don't know the answer... but it is not unusual for a gun to have the name and location of the corporate offices on it and it is actually made somewhere else, as in another state.

The FHN pistol I bought from Colonial Girl about two years ago has "Fredricksburg Virginia" on the slide and I'm pretty sure it was made here in Columbia S.C.

I had sent an email to Ruger customer service, before your post, and what you said is true. The LCP II initially was manufactured in Prescott AZ but is now manufactured in Mayodan NC. So now I guess I have to find a Prescott model. :D
