I"m pretty sure they should be the same 4140 chrome-moly steel the older ones were? the "two tone" is only the bluing polished off the front half..........

...any issues you can use the "pawl" that is in YOUR gun to insure the lockup is correct, the "new " one works just sticks out a bit........

pieces parts, put together, NOT "original" either, can always swap out parts, reparkerize it and put in GI surplus parts, a sum of the total of the parts plus more work, and did I say "not original"?? For what you have described not worth $900 to me,,,,, too many nice affordable,...

ha, here in NE OHio they so far hauled out ,19 heaping pickup trucks FULL of ash trees and it was ALL "FREE" you haul it and have about that many more to go and about 3 dozen MORE trees coming down, all by themselves ( Mother Nature) just gotta be cut up and taken out....did I say FREE????...

what part are you trying to move?? the sight blade or the sight body itself?? It can all come apart, clean up, deburr, whatever make sure the spring is on the point ( hook) of the blade, and the track is clear.....put it all back together, center the sight body to the receiver and the blade to the s...

Good deal, there was one at this last gun show, non prefix shorty 41 mag and it went for that.........I wanted it but he never came back, would have went well with the other 12 old models we had on the table......... 8) :roll: :wink:

as noted elsewhere, the old model has a firing pin groove, AND YES this carried over into the early ,first New Models, guess they used them up but gotta know the over all length front to rear as we've even seen some old models that did NOT interchange, barrel set back or some such, sometime in the 1...

you got it , with gun ownership comes "responsibility" and "liability"......home defense is one thing, personal carry, another and going into 'combat' totally different.... :wink:
