Well thats one nice win. Looks just like one of mine, I have the 2-3/4" with a T grip and a 4" version which is my regular shooter.
And I agree, heavy duty, like little tanks.
I have to agree, I've had my 2-3/4" for almost 10 years and its a definite keeper for me. I couldn't think of a better or comparable 357 snub to replace it with, at least for the money.
They've gone thru a lot of changes over the recent years, but even with different owners, they are still inconsistent with their shipping times. I agree with Pisgah, I think they wait until they have enough orders to complete a batch to make it worth their while. For some still unknown reason...
I'm sorry to hear about your friend passing away. That's a beautiful SS that you got a very nice deal on, they are getting harder and harder to find in that condition. A few years back I also ran across a great deal on a unfired 2-3/4" Security Six (stainless) still new in the box with the...
Very nice, that's a great looking pair. About 10 years ago I found a new unfired 2-3/4" security six with box and papers, it became my favorite conceal carry in rotation with a SP101 DAO. Unfortunately Its not quite as pristine as it once was in this old photo.
The only other .45 that I own and can compare it to is a Colts Officer Enhanced. Both handle well, but I'd have to give the edge to the P90 DC for slightly less felt recoil. They are both similar in weight, but the Colt has a 3.5" barrel compared to the P90's 4.5".
I've had the P90 DC for several years and in the bottom two photos, you can see where the metal followers were hitting just below the feed ramp and causing the scaring/dings on the front of the mag well. Its never caused any problems.
You may not be getting the Talo edition, but I can say that if its anything like mine, you're still getting a fine revolver. I've had mine for about 9 years now and I still enjoy it as much as I did on day one.
