Is this 3 screw .357 over priced or ridiculously over priced?

It's hard to tell what the grips are for just laying there, but they are on my old Model SBH in my first post.

I'm not going to get involved with the gun. In the end I'm trying to find a gun for those nice grips. In the past I think I have bought a gun just to put some great grips I have on it. I can't remember exactly but know it had to be a colt SAA.

Is this 3 screw .357 over priced or ridiculously over priced?

I was given a set of beautiful SBH sambar stags by my nephew and they are on my gun for keeps since I love them and cannot sell a gift. So these sheep horns which I had on the 1969 SBH might have to go. I call them "sheep horn" because that was what others thought they were when I asked before.

Is this 3 screw .357 over priced or ridiculously over priced?

I don't have a photo of the gun in question but can describe it. I saw a 4 5/8" late 60s Blackhawk .357 with a Super blackhawk brass grip frame and standard factory wood grips. The gun is unmodified and appeared about 95% condition. The price is $1200 (ouch!). That sermed high to me but I don't...

I'm making a holster. What frame size is this Blackhawk?

Thanks, and yes, I hand stitch. I'm just finishing up a Colt buntline special slim jim holster now and it was a little trickier than most holsters.

I'm making a holster. What frame size is this Blackhawk?

Thanks, Hondo, AND Robb Barnes. Hondo, as usual you’re my “Phineas J Whoopee” to come to when asking about Colts, S&Ws, and now Rugers. Among a few other guys on other more specific topics. and I bet you even know who Phineas J Whoopee is.

    Ruger Old Model Blackhawk

dfletcher, I’m in the Sacramento vicinity and have seen you posted often on Calguns. If you’re in Redding or higher (State Of Jefferson) you’ll more correctly say I’m in “northern central Ca.”. I go to a very old school gunsmith in Woodland named Maraviov. I feel like I’m in the 1970s when I’m...

I'm making a holster. What frame size is this Blackhawk?

Thanks for the info on the frames. 90% of holsters I make are for Colts and S&Ws revolvers, but only in old western styles. Your gun probably fits a colt holster perfect, right? Here's one I made for a Colt Sheriffs Model some years back, but requested with a very open toe so a longer barrel...

I'm making a holster. What frame size is this Blackhawk?

I was asked to make a holster for this New Model Blackhawk. Being an Old Model fan, I'm not sure what frame size this is. Is it the same as my 1969 Blackhawk .357, a bigger one like my Super Blackhawk, or like the NM Flat Tops? I can't tell at this slight angle if its flat. Can you tell by the...

Gnarly sambar stags on an Old Model SBH

Great stags on a very cool gun. There's just something very formidable looking about short barreled ASBHs, or in this case a .41.

Gnarly sambar stags on an Old Model SBH

Wow! After years with log in issues I managed to get back on Ruger Forum. My nephew gave me these great sambar stags with lots of bark. As beautiful as they are, I was assuming they would shred my hand shooting mags in it, but they felt great. Being left handed the real rough part on the lower...

The Ultimate Ruger Fast Draw Western Rig

Now there's a true fast draw rig. My waist size is 34", so I think mine would fit a 32" waist perfectly around the hips. but I'll never wear it. Alfonso says now that they would charge three times what I paid for it to make it today. So I'll sit on it a while.
