Also I have owned both kinds and can truly say Rubber are so much better. Like a GP100 or my Super Redhawk both similar grips with rosewood inserts very comfortable.
No picture cause it would be silly but, I have always preferred alot of the rubber grips found on GP100's and Super Redhawks and Blackhawks .

Seems when you shoot that hog leg the hair would be pushed backwards from the roll up. Seems they should have been made with the hair going up.

My dumb brother even after being warned not to decided to shoot my .454 with a .340 grain cast load..one handed and it flipped up and cracked him in the forehead. The blood flew .. well to say the least I cut him no slack and said I told you not to do that.
The .454 which o er the years I have shot thousands of . It is mild out of larger framed revolvers, it is very effective out to about 60-75 yards and in some cases 100 yards. But it lacked distance. Now welcome the .460 able to reach out to 200 yards. Is a 200 yard shot the norm absolutely not...
Also wanted to add that every weapon must be suited to the user. FOR instance I'm a big guy 6'5" I always been big and big guns suit me well. JMHO pick what's works best for you for me it's big bores all the way.
