    Mini-14

Thanks for the comments. :) If Ruger can ever get it to work like it should, it probably will be my favorite rifle. It's fun to shoot.

    Mini-14

Took these photos when I bought the gun last year. Don’t think I ever posted the photos in this forum. Unfortunately, I got one of those rare jam-o-matics, and it’s on its way back to Ruger Service for the second time. Hope they get it right this time, cause I really love this gun. After...

Want: Looking for Medallion for 1950 Ruger Standard

Thank you. They are much better photos than what I've previously managed to find. I saved them for reference. :)

Want: Looking for Medallion for 1950 Ruger Standard

The 1950 medallion was only used from 1949 to 1951 when Sturm died, and it was changed to black, so the medallion I’m looking for was only used for a couple of years. Also, it was only on the left grip. The right grip has no medallion. A little trivia for those reading this that don’t know...

Want: Looking for Medallion for 1950 Ruger Standard

Here is a photo of what the grip looks like now, and where the missing medallion should be, and what is there now.

Want: Looking for Medallion for 1950 Ruger Standard

My father bought this gun new in 1950. It is missing the red medallion, and I am looking for one. If you have one, or know where to locate one, I would appreciate the info. I have contacted Ruger, and they send me a couple of medallions, but they are the wrong medallions for the gun. Photos...

is this the holly grail of ruger semiauto pistol? Red eagle

I’d be interested in seeing a photo of the other grip with the medallion. I have one that is serial number 42xx. Even earlier than yours, and made in 1950. My medallion is missing.

    Ruger Standard Jams (with photos)

There are several different kinds of .22 ammo from Aguila. I only tried the one. There is a photo of the ammo box on the first page of this thread. I put it there so there would be no confusion as to what ammo I was referring to. My 10/22 cycled the Aguila ammo just fine, so I used it up in...

    Ruger Standard Jams (with photos)

Everyone in gun forums seems to live near a Wall-mart. It’s a 3 hour drive for me. Not happening. No Breakfree around here at all. Tried ordering online the other day, but between the time I put it on my wish list, and the time I went to order it, it went on backorder. Grrrrr. I’ve soaked...

    Ruger Standard Jams (with photos)

The only time I’ve ever had problems with jams is with this particular Aguila ammo. Never anything else. To me it’s ammo related, and I’ll just shoot what the gun likes. I like Mini-Mags, or any CCI ammo, and for now, that’s what I’ll use, and I expect no problems.

    New 10/22 Owner

I finally got around to cleaning the bolt. Here is a photo from the previous page of this thread. That certainly looked ugly, but turned out to be nothing. Here is the bolt right after removing. My hands turned black just handling it. Here is the bolt after a little cleaning and...

    Ruger Standard Jams (with photos)

There are many different flavors of Aguila .22 ammo. The stuff I got just wouldn’t cycle in the Ruger Standard. My bolt action, and my recently acquired 10/22 had no problems with it. No hiccups with CCI ammo and the Ruger Standard, so I’m sticking with CCI ammo for this gun. SW Oregon. Not...
