    .357 For White Tail Deer

Anyone use, or have used a .357 for white tail deer? What bullet did you use and what were the results?

    Monolithic Bulles

Has anyone taken any large game with one of the monolithic, or mono-metal bullets. They are supposed to penetrate much deeper and straighter than a hard cast bullet, one advantage is that they don't deform when striking heavy bone. One disadvantage (maybe) is that the bullet needs to be longer...

    Best 1911 magazines

I'll second that. Good mags they are.

Which of the two is strongest??

I currently have 2 Ruger revolvers, a Super Black Hawk and a Super Red Hawk Toklat in .454. I am semi seriously considering trading the SBH for a new 4" Red Hawk in .44 magnum. Of the 2, the SBH and Red Hawk which is the strongest, or are they the same, strength wise? I know both can handle...

What I like about my SR1911

For a "factory pistol" it comes with just about all the bells and whistles a guy could want.

    Two Nylon Shoulder Holsters

If anyone would have interest in 2 new (used one time each) nylon shoulder holsters let me know, I am thinking $50 + a little for shipping for the pair. One is an Uncle Mike's and the other is a Bianchi Ranger, one fit a 6" S&W L-Frame, the other fit an 8 3/8" S&W N-Frame. Black in color and in...

Jesse James is now building high end .45's?

No it's not. Only if that's the way you interpret it.

Wonder if he customized Sandra Bullock.

    I think I'll stick with .45

Looked at a couple of Kimber "Micros" in 9MM yesterday. Nice but a couple of things I didn't care fore were the small frame mounted safety, it was hard to manipulate due to it's small size, and no beavertail safety. I may look at some of the compact Kimber .45's. Nice, easy to use frame...

    Ruger Kodiak Backpacker Grips

g-o-o-g-l-e. The gun has been around a while by now, I'm sure there's several makers offering rubber grips for it. Nice gun.

    Grip laser sights

Considering the grip mounted laser sights, either putting a set from Crimson Trace or Hogue them on my Ruger Commander, of getting one with a set installed at the factory, maybe a Kimber. Any opinions, experience and thoughts would be appreciated.

    3 inch barreled 1911's

I've been carrying my all steel Commander every day, even at the office and the weight is bothering me less and less every day. Yes. I can feel the weight but it is not as bothersome as it was a week ago, it's "just there". I probably wouldn't (couldn't) wear it with dress clothes or a suit...

    3 inch barreled 1911's

Good to hear you've had no reliability issues. I REALLY want a Kimber, or other 3" .45, would make concealed carry so much easier/comfortable. Love my Commander but as I mentioned it is somewhat heavy. If it were ever had to be put to use I suppose that becomes a distant afterthought anyway...
