    Lee Adjustable Charge Bar...

If you are running low charges, be sure to look through the hopper and make sure the charge bar opening is entirely under the opening. If it does not you may have to grind the metal casting to allow the black lever to travel farther.

What did it cost new in 1987??? Ruger GP100

When comparing prices, use this calculator to equalize todays and yestedays dollars. The old days are not always better and I'm guessing some of the rememberd numbers may have chenged a bit. http://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl I've run the numbers in order of the posts. 1987 2011...

    Sp101 and getting wet

Something to consider, even stainless steel guns might use regular steel springs or pivot pins.

    KLCR-357 Faulty from Factory

At least in theory, the lower half of a LCR is the same between the 38 and 357. Sounds like just a assembly problem. As for dry firing, I don't dry fire my LCR other than the occasional after cleaning check and sometimes lost count at the range. The trigger is good enough out of the box.

    Convert LCR?

The stainless steel LCR 38 barrel liner threads in from the front but, it looks like removal will need a tool that engages the rifling. It looks like the 357 LCR has the same system also. Cylinders are stainless steel so nothing odd there. No idea why moonclips won't cut the cylinder unless...

    SP101 357 vs LCR 357

I've got a 13.5 oz LCR 38 and regularly put top end 38+P through it. It's manageable but about 250 in one sitting is enough. A 17 oz LCR 357 running the same +P should be more plesant to shoot. There is no reason to run 357 through such a gun. I've run exactly " 2 " 357 rounds through a 12...

What has happened to the .357 Magnum?

I can think of a easy way to make on using 50's tech. A strip of foil , thin wire laminated between two sheets of paper in such a way when the bullet strikes it the conductor is cut. A mechanical circular chart recorder that pecks a pen line on paper when the first strip is cut then lifts it...

    Need info on sp101 22lr.

18 of Jan? There was another thread that Ruger had 4 guns coming out, one turned out to the be LC9. A double action 22 was mentioned, no ideas on / when the other 2 will be announced. It has been posted that Ruger announces a new gun only after the supply channels have been filled and guns...

    Ruger LCR .357 vs. S&W 649 .38 spec.

From what I've seen, lockup can be caused by 2 things, one common the other no so. If the trigger isn't fully released it won't reset for the next shot but, this can happen with most ( all? ) double action revolvers. The second occured to my early production LCR 38 and someone else on this...

    GP 100 .38

The bottom line is to buy what you like and not worry about resale. If you are going to keep a gun long term, resale value means little. My first gun ( Jan of 2010 ) was a new stainless GP 4" 357. I had settled on a GP 4" and not knowing any different got the 357. The GP is now the house...

Vote for or against the LC9

"" I call it a miss..... Let me count the ways... Magazine disconnect.. internal lock.. loaded chamber indicator... too big. "" On this and other boards I keep hearing the same complaints ( except for size ) Why would anyone want to fire a auto with the mag removed? ( given I'm a...

    What Were You Hoping For?

Guess what new gun I want from Ruger? ( A 22 LR LCR would be a excellent trainer for the person that has a LCR 38 for PD and no other guns for sport. Plus it would fill the kit gun market pretty well ) The safety, chamber indicator and mag disconnect ( won't let the gun fire if the mag is...

SP101 to LCR w/ CT for Wife?

Some things to consider. Recoil with the LCR will be much greater. The aluminum frame 38 with CT weighs 13 oz and supposedly has harder grips increasing recoil. The steel frame 357 weighs more ( 17 ish? ). If recoil might be a issue the steel frame 357 running 38 would be the way to go. The...

    After the "big announcement" debacle...

I had been giving the SR9c a hard look deciding if it was going to replace my LCR. The only reason for considering such a switch is the possibility of multiple attackers where a 5 shot is kind of light. I had given the LCP a quick look, but the gun is just too physically small for me. The LC9...

    Ruger revolver with loose barrel

Rohm still exists but they probably don't make guns any longer. Rohm makes lathe chucks and other machine shop tooling. ( Some of the later gun logos show a stylized lathe chuck for the " O " ) At some point Rohm established a USA presence called RG ( in Florida I think )
