I have the Max 9, & I bought the Crimson Trace 1550, for It, I didn't like it because I had trouble finding the red dot, when sighting. I also carry it in a pocket, & the red dot makes it too large for that.

Yes, it is as you describe, these were Grov Tec, which is the brand that Ruger has on their web site.

I have a LC9s, a LCP, a SR9, & a SR9c, & have shot many rounds through them all, never a failure of any kind. So, they must make a few good ones.

Just a hint, to hold the spacer in place on the 17 round magazine, stick a piece of soft Velcro ( with adhesive back) inside on the back. Also, you can't go wrong with the SR9c.

I have an SR9c, I took the loaded chamber indicator out, and used a small file to cut it down, until it sticks up only about 1/16 of an inch.
