Hi Gramps,
My friend currently has it. I let him know years ago that it was a rare one. He showed it to me again yesterday and I asked if I could share photos here. I should have tried to take a couple photos outside because I thought I could remember seeing a lightning strike when I first saw...
Holy heck! It took me this long to find the photo. It was in Combat Illustrated Magazine, Volume 2/Number 3, June 1977. I found the magazine going through a stack of my old ones. The article was titled, "The Helicopter War" and was about a mission by the 187th Assault Helicopter Company. It was...
I've been shooting Federal AE 327 in my Single Seven and am having an issue of fired brass from one chamber dragging on the inside of the frame loading port when I eject it. Brass from all the other chambers eject fine. I don't know if I have a mis-cut chamber or a port that needs more...

And, while things are snow-balling, you can re-cut thread forcing cone angle, from the steep one the factory used back then, if you want too. We did this once (to 11 degrees) and it worked well.
Not to drive off topic, but Freedom Arms has made some Model 83's with octagon barrels and they look fantastic too.
I always enjoy looking at photos of Robb's collection.
I just watched your video, Jeff. Very enjoyable, as usual. I feel relaxed every time I watch one.
I really like this latest offering by Ruger. I admit I haven't liked many of the other recent DA models, but I'm going to look at getting one of these... as long as they make it onto our silly...
