It might just be easier to purchase a Taurus Tracker in .41. It is a 5-shot GP-100 sized revolver. I am quite fond of mine. They make the same revolver in .44 mag.

I carry the FBI load. It is the Remington 158 gr SWCHP +P. A little old fashioned but with a proven history. The added advantage is that .38 specials are regulated for a 158 gr slug.
