I too have one of the original LCPs and it is definitely the easiest carry gun I own. I have never been able to hit anything with it at much distance; but then it really is not meant for that either. Though, I do find the Sig P238 to be very accurate and I carry it more often as a result...

Also contacted Ruger Support and they said they may have the part even though it is not listed on their website. They emailed me a number to call tomorrow and will see.
Any ideas where to find one? I have an option to purchase a P90D but the mag release spring is broken and there does not seem to be one immediately available at the usual sites that I get parts from. I have not contacted Ruger yet.
