thanks guys for the information and you are right it is a aluminum frame. I own a a few polymer guns in 9mm and a 45. 1911 . Iwanted to go with a heavier gun in the 40. cal and the Ruger seems like a well built gun,

New to the forum and I have thinking about getting a Ruger P model series in 40.cal. I want an all steel gun and I think the Ruger has a good prive compared to some of the others I have looked at just wanting to hear some opinions of owners that have a 40. and if they are happy with it. Thanks
