i have looked into a replacement stock but the issue there is not many are made for the m77 mkII any suggestions???

I have a M77 MkII in 270 with the all weather skeleton style stock, personally and most close friends that have shot it agree it kicks like a mule so I have been tossing around the idea of adding weight to it, is there any down side to adding weight other than being able to carry it comfortably...
