    Curious

The 4 5/8" version is not "rare"-it's just hard to find. I suspect Ruger made fewer of that model than the 5 1/2 & 6 1/2" mainly due to sales figures. I have owned several over the years both blue and stainless in all 3 barrel lengths and for me the 4 5/8" version is the best for me simply...

    Lightweight .22 rifle recommendations.

Have a 512 w/grooved receiver from the early 60's. Cut barrel to 19". With basic Tasco 4x scope it will shoot under 2" @ 100 yards off the bench with W-W Power Points all day long. It originally belonged to my grandfather and now belongs to my grandson.

    Finger Loop-4. Brushed Aluminum

Actually this system has helped greatly with my problem. As you get older and start losing hand strength and manual dexterity even "simple" tasks become more difficult. I have not needed this on my MKII yet. But it has been absolutely necessary on my Buckmark. Old age brings it's own set of...

Thoughts on Ruger SP101 vs Smith Model 60, 66, etc???

I agree completely with Contender's comments. I went through the same process as Miss Penny and settled on the same gun-Ruger Security Six in .357-except mine is the 2 3/4" model because it "feels" better. It is the ONE GUN I will keep until the end. Made that decision 40 years ago and never...

    *SPF* Grips for SP 101

Sorry. I no longer have the gun. Replaced it with LCR better suited for CC. These would not work for CC. Best suited for .22 version due to being about 20% oversized. See photo of back side to compare outline of frame to grips.
