    sr9 bulged barrel

The 147 gr. I use in 9mm are sized to 357, the larger size fits the bore better and does not lead . I cast with 50/50 clip-on/stick-on wheel weights and pan lube. I dont know what the hardness is, but does the job.

    sr9 bulged barrel

Gotta call from tech @ Ruger today, good news -only barrel was damaged. Replaced barrel and shipping it back next week. Ruger only charged $85.00 for fitting new barrel and shipping both ways! I'd say that is outstanding service! Now to be more careful in my reloading techniques. I'm using a...

    sr9 bulged barrel

The Berry bullets took about 2 months to get after ordering. I too started casting to save money and its fun . I have close to 150 lbs of assorted lead, clip-on, stick-on and some range lead bars. I cast mostly 9 mm, 38/357, 45 acp and 7mmTCU for IHMSA. I would like to find a mould for 124 gr...

    sr9 bulged barrel

Ruger sent a UPS shipping label and the SR9 is boxed up and headed to the store today. I am very happy with the quick support of Ruger. But then, I'm a big Ruger fan anyway. As far as the 147 gr load, it is a very accurate bullet and the low powder charge lets me get back on the steel quickly...

Yes, agree on checking powder charges or lack of from now on.Unique is bad about not metering well anyway. But it normally shoots well, just have to be more careful Have pics but need instructions on...

    sr9 bulged barrel

Thanks again. Will give Ruger a call. I have a speed steel match coming up in about 3 weeks, shooting texas star and poppers. lots a fun, centerfire pistols and shotgun.. Accuracy is not a critical issue but every shot counts. Any more input is very welcome. Tim

    sr9 bulged barrel

Thanks for the quick responses. I can't get pics , but the bulge is just about in the middle of the barrell. It is visible with the naked eye on the inside and outside. I figure the bullet hits the bulge and cants some. Can't be good for accuacy. I don't mind paying for a new barrel from Ruger...

    sr9 bulged barrel

Hi all, my 1st post and have a question or two. I have a bulge in the barrel of my sr9. I think I had a squib & a full load following that. I was shooting speed steel. Will the bulge make any difference in accuracy and if so does anybody know of an aftremarket barrel. The bulge is midway in...
