    9mm Blackhawk convertibles.....

I read somewhere thatvwhen the convertible Blackhawk came out it was not uncommon for gun shops to have bins full of 9mm European militarily surplus ammo for a few cents per round. That would explain a lot.

    9mm Blackhawk convertibles.....

The gun shoots better with the .357 cylinder no doubt. In fairness though I load 9mm range brass because I an cheap. All headstamps mixed together. The .357 loads are put up in Starline brass. How much of a difference that would make; I have no idea. Try weighing some 9mm brass. It is all over...

    9mm Blackhawk convertibles.....

The 9mm cartridge properly loaded and in a properly dimensioned gun is as accurate as any other cartridge. 50 and 100 yard hits on standard size clay pigeons is entirely doable. Elmer Keith praised the 9mm as a flat shooting cartridge. The problem is that many 9mm barrels and chambers...

    Super Blackhawk: Then and now:

I never understood the fuss about the old model, until I got one. Never heard of one that wouldn't shoot. Just wish the front sight on my 2 were a bit taller. They seem to zero at about 80 yards. Beautiful revolver you have there.

    Interested in GP 100

My Match champion is in the "never sell" pile. A little polishing on the internals and a set of springs gave me a great trigger. It's a strong accurate revolver that carries well in a simply rugged holster. I highly reccomend the GP100.

Do you know how to shoot? Sure, it’s easy!

I saw a great tutorial on stock car racing. It went: Go fast. Turn left. How hard can it be?

    How do you train

I can't speak to training since most of my shooting centers on full size handguns for field use. That said, nothing beats reactive targets. Plastic bottles full of water, balloons, clay birds etc. An old time favorite was Necco wafers. Colorful, reactive, and on a slow day you can munch on a...

    I like gun shows.

For me it was like going to the museum and having a key to the exhibit cases.

Black powder old army. What's the appeal?

100 yards. .457 round ball. Wonder what a "real" gun would do.

Super Bisley 45 Colt, would you like to have it?

I have had several. 45 Colt Rugers. The .45 Colt, in my experience, is a cantankerous old witch of a cartridge that hates me. I have had cylinders reamed and done tons of load development and testing. I have yet to find a .45 Colt that will shoot as well as my best .44 special or magnum...

    Blackhawk 30 Carbine!

With a 120 or so grain boolit and 2400 i have not found the .30 carbine Blackhawk to be especially offensive with regular hearing protection.

    Group sizes at 100 yards

In my experience people who shoot all year round have a lot more "lucky shots" than the folks who do 7 yard mag dumps a few times a year. Wonder why that is?
