    SRH wide spur hammer.

Not aware that a replacement is made. However, a gunsmith should be able to dehorn the hammer as that is not hard. In the past gumsiths e.g. Jim Stroh (retired now) and others would build up the thumb apd and widen and recut the checkering so maybe you could find one to do this.

    Pros/cons for 9mm vs 357 revolver

Question on 9mm revolver that DOES NOT require moonclips e.g. Charter Arms one: If the cylinder is setup not to take moon clips how does one rapidly load the gun as there is no rim for a speedloader to grab hold as they are currently designed??

    Sl variant speedloader

Nice that they also offer speedloaders to fit the 7 shot GP100's and one for .44 mags.

    Day dreaming

"Keep dreaming .... I have one in .44 Special (.429) ..." I think I will dream of a .44 Mag GP to compete with the S&W version. Why Ruger did not use the larger diameter barrel shank of the 10mm on the .44 escapes me. Probably the same engineer who did not consider the ramifications of making...

    SRH extended firing pin

The extended firing pins, I believe, came about because of the Redhawk having some problems. Bowen, in his book, mentions the problem. The newer easily removable firing pins just happen to fit a number of other Ruger models aside from the Redhawk. From what I gather, ideal firing pin...

    Speed Loaders

A copy of the German SL Variant speedloader is being offered at this site: https://www.slvariant.com/ They even have models for 7 shot GP's and .44 mag models such as the Redhawk.

    Jordan Trooper grips for gp100?

Perhaps, in the past Herrett's made a grip for the GP100. I seem to recall somewhere that due to dimensional differences within models they required that you sent the gun to them for fitting.

Redhawk .45 Colt trigger pull ?

The Wolff spring kit, if I recall, has 12, 13 and 14 lb springs in it. I think the factory spring is 17 pounds. At one time Trapper Gun offered a Bullseye Spring Kit #14 for the Redhawk. It appears to have had 2 springs in it. I do not know the poundage.

Redhawk .45 Colt trigger pull ?

The single spring design creates a problem in lightening. If it is lightened too much for single action shooting the double action will have problems (ftf's). In the past I had a Redhawk tuned and then started playing with springs (Wolff spring kit with 12, 13, 14 lb springs). I could get...

Anyone knows about Redhawk 45LC future availability?

Another option albeit somewhat rare is a Dan Wesson revolver. Currently, there is one listed on Gun Broker. The interchangeable barrels may or may not be of use to you. Prices are high on these, though.

    SL Variant Copy Speedloader

I see there is a company making copies of the German SL Variant speedloader now in Asia. Has anyone had a chance to try any of these? The 7 shot for speedloader looks appealing to use in a 7 shot GP100. https://www.slvariant.com/product/l-272/ As Safariland does not make a 7 shot speedloader...

Ruger needs to Growaset and step up to the Big Leagues. 460&500 S&W or if they don't want to be copycats 350 and 400 Moleman(Legend) and 450 Bushmaste

Stantheman hit the nail on the head. Ruger is in business to make money. The cost of engineering, tooling, line conversion for production and parts inventory is going to be as great or greater than other possible projects. Where are the possible sales coming from as S&W already hit the...

    SL Varient

If you do get a speedloader from them would appreciate your posting as to what you think about the item. I note the website has no contact address so would be somewhat apprehensive.

    GP100 in .41 Mg.?

Another individual that does conversions is Gary Reeder in Arizona.

    GP100 in .41 Mg.?

" I suppose a custom long cylinder would be possible but I've never heard of it being done." Another user once mentioned to me that Clements was able to get the velocities he quoted on his .44 SP conversions by using an extended cylinder with a shortened projection of the forcing cone into the...
