That new Model 77 Hawkeye compact in 223 seems like a sweet rifle and I would think that the value on a Mini 14 in good shape would be a good match.

Yes, the scope will be a 44 AO, Millett said the medium would clear a 56 scope. That seemed a little far fetched to me.

I'm in the process of getting a 77/22. I'm going to order some Millett angle loc rings for a 44mm objective Intensity scope. Millett customer service thinks medium rings are high enough, but they aren't for sure. Does anyone know for sure if a 44 will clear with medium rings or if I need to...

They seem to be in Louisville, the Wal-marts are having more on the shelf and the gun shops seem to be fairly well stocked. I've been getting the Federal AutoMatch bulk from WW and it does well in my 10/22's and my 22/45.

I've got T barreled rife I'm working on and have it narrowed down to a Intensity 3.8-12x44 or the Mueller APV, I was considering a Barska Varmint, but I haven't really gotten any good reports on them. My sporter wears a Simmons 22 mag in 3-9x32 and it is okay.

I just found out today that I have a friend who has a SS barrel and laminated stock from K10/22T. He never fired it with them in place. What do you all think would be the going rate for the barrel and stock. I'm thinking of building me a T the back door way.

Haven't seen any bricks at the Wal-marts in Louisville, KY, but they have had bits and pieces if you are there at the right time. A few of the guns shops have had bricks and plenty of variety. A few of them are still crying that they can't get anything.

I've had my WM special for a couple of weeks now. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I was just in the man cave and put in a Yellow Jacket buffer and VQ auto bolt release in silver. I put a Simmons 22 mag 3-9 on it the other day. I just can't wait to get it out and run a few hundred...

I got one from one of my local Wal-marts just a couple of weeks ago. They said they had several in the back in addition to regular blued carbines and stainless carbines with black stocks. Lipsey's still shows the K10/22-22 model on their list. In my area, they are down to just 2 of the stores...

Midway showed some in stock earlier this week when I ordered a couple of black ones. The Bass Pro in Clarksville, IN had some last Sunday also, for $23 or $24 each.
