Does anybody use the Ruger branded Mitch Rosen holster

I use the Bianchi Serpent. It has a fastener over the cocked hammer. That is my own preference. The Mitch Rosen looks fine if one wants a quicker draw holster. I know from experience that any holster Ruger sells for its firearms will fit them.

    SR-1911

Additionally, I have experimented with the hammer and it is too small and strong to be lowered over a loaded round, in my opinion. At least for me. But if I am going to carry it loaded, it will be with the safety on and a strap between the hammer and the frame, as I have in the past. Again, just...

    SR-1911

If one was in military actions when the 1911 was our issue pistol, those pistols got wet and muddy. And they fired in that condition. When they were new they were "loose" because they had to be. We tried to keep them functional but sometimes that just meant rinsing them in a stream to get the...

    SR1911 grip wood

I think the wood grips look good but I replaced mine right away with Hogue rubber grips. I get a better purchase and more reliable grip under fire with them.

    Lubricants

I use EEZOX on all of my firearms, for cleaning and lubrication. It dries and lubricates dry, and does not attract dirt.

    Best 1911 magazines

I think that Ruger mags with the Ruger SR-1911 make the most sense. Reliability is critical. I only use the 7 round mags too.

It's been a long time coming! Finally got my Ruger SR1911!

I just got one too. I really like how it shoots.

    SR1911 Commander front sight

I have the standard model and it seems to shoot just a little to the left. My gunsmith told me yesterday that he can tap it just a smidgeon and put it over slightly. I prefer that to sending it back to Ruger.

    SR-1911

Just got one and shot it yesterday. I am much impressed with the quality and reliability of this 1911. I shot ball and some high quality hollow points, all in 230 gr. I do wonder about one thing, not that it should impact me at this later time in life. The original 1911's would shoot in almost...

    Velocity PC carbine

If one is seeking a more potent round in a carbine than the 9x19 why not just go to a 30-30 lever action or a 44 mag lever action? I have the PC9 and consider the 9mm round ideal for a carbine. I also have the Henry Big Boy Steel lever action in 44 mag. It is more powerful if I need more power.

    Ruger PC9 stock

I have no issues with the stock personally. I like the way it grips and feels.

    Is the 9e discontinued?

I have one. I am glad I purchased it because they are no longer being made. That is a shame because as stated above, they are ergonomic, reliable and mine is my favorite pistol. I am thinking of getting a used one when it shows up.

    What's your favorite Camp Revolver?

I have a Ruger SP101 in .327 Mag. It holds six rounds and is quite effective as a camp gun.

    Velocity PC carbine

Good point, Grobin. I plan on shooting ball ammo in my PC9, and I imagine that is not optimized for short barrels. But I need to do some research and find out. Thanks.

    Ruger PC9 Muzzle Brake Suggestions

Why make it longer? Its compactness is one of its assets. I don't want anything on a firearm that doesn't have to be there. The ghost ring sights come up fast and are more accurate that most shooters can use. The carbine is balanced, and except for someone wanting a suppressor I cannot fathom...
