    Ruger vs S&W Revolvers

I'm a Ruger man in my heart and in my safe. However, were I in the .44 Magnum market, the M29 Classic would be getting a real good look. Too many updates on the old design to write it off. It's as if S$W hired one of Mr. Ruger's Grandkids to run the Engineering Dept on that one.

    American 9mm

Been eyeing the market for a 9mm. That Competition might be just what the doctor ordered.

Ruger super redhawk toklat 454 cal

Guy down the road regularly brought me rabbits that he'd shot in his yards with his SD9. It must have been reliable because he never brought it to me to be fixed, lol lvs2hunt Congrats on the awesome pistol!

New Gen 2 Ruger American Rifles

I love my Gen 1, agree that affordability and quality should have remained priorities.

    LCR vs S&W 642/442

As the question is posed by the OP, S&W takes the cake due to the size difference. A few years ago I EDC'd a 642. At a gun show, coming across a table of compact revo's I did a SxS comparo with the 642's and the Taurus 650 CIA. As viewed through my meticulous machinist eyes, the CIA won in...

    9mm Blackhawk convertibles.....

One of the AF bases my Dad was stationed at had a similar situation. I have his slides of the canines, posing, training, working. He remembered their names and number of kills.

My range test of the Super Wrangler

Got mine yesterday. Initial inspection and impression is the same as OP's. Wouldn't mind seeing a little more crown on the muzzle and a radius on the end of the barrel. Rudimentary freehand tests with LR cylinder show excellent accuracy potential. Red dot will be mounted some night after work...

First Post: Should I Get a Back-up Trigger Housing for 10/22?

Chalk me up as another not impressed by the BX trigger. I went with a Hornet Custom trigger. !00% reliable for 12ish years and thousands of rounds. I never understood the slight gain vs risk of unreliability with a weak, compromising trigger return spring. But you should be GTG with the...

    Super Wrangler!

My Super is on order at LGS, no prediction when one in black or silver will show up. Already had a spare RDS and just received the mount so it'll get a good wringing both LR and Mag soon after arrival.

    Super Wrangler versus Single Six?

Much like the American Rifles, the Wranglers seem to get the job done as good or better than the old school guns. My Wrangler has been a gem. A Super is on order at the LGS to fully test the above theory.

    HENRY REVOLVERS

Guess I'm the odd man out on the looks of those pistols. I think they're neat looking... However, for the price it should feature old school bluing / polish, receive rave reviews on inherent accuracy and be built to give Ruger and S&W a run for their money in durability. An adjustable sight...

    New "All Around" Bolt Action

The American series is a well designed, accurate and shootable group of rifles. Kudos to the Ruger Marketing Dept. on the GW. Designed FOR hunting? Meh, not so much.

When Did the Ruger Blackhawk Become a $700 Revolver?

Same here. However, I am ramping up to change that!
