Has anyone seen a Nambu outside of a museum?

A very good friend has one that I looked at many years ago. At the time I recall I was not very impressed by it overall. I thought I remember him or someone telling me they were prone to discharging without a trigger pull? No idea if that was accurate or not.

Not to panic but..is Ruger still actually producing SR1911s?

Was in our local Fleet Farm store yesterday. Came by the handgun case and it was basically empty. Similar situation on the ammo shelf. I did see a few boxes of handgun ammo behind the counter with a note that said "limit two per customer". I believe those were available to purchasers of new...

New grips ordered for my SR1911 Lightweight

Have had my pistol for about 4 months now. Been to the range 5-6 times as well as a couple of trips to a local gunsmith for rear sight adjustment. Sights are very good now and very pleased overall but thought the stock grips were just a bit two "plain Jane"!(Hope I can say that considering the...

First date with my new SR1911 Lightweight 9mm

After twice having the rear sight tweaked a bit I'm now happy with the sights. At this point its now my eyes but the gun shoots great.

First date with my new SR1911 Lightweight 9mm

Have had mine to the range twice now. Consistently shoots left of point of aim by about 2 1/2-3inches at 30 feet. Moving the rear sight this week and then back to range . Love the gun!

First date with my new SR1911 Lightweight 9mm

Picked up mine a few days ago. Disassembled, cleaned and lubed. Now waiting for a chance to get to the range. Trigger feels sweet!

First date with my new SR1911 Lightweight 9mm

After several years of looking and telling myself I really didn't need one I went ahead and ordered one last week. Expected delivery is by the end of this week. I am so ready!

My LCP and I parted ways.

It seems as if our country has been having a rash of shootings in public places. Very unlikely that any of us will be in such a situation. While unlikely, if I found myself being shot at from across a street, yard, etc. I would take actions of defense and yes the distance may well be greater...

    some more Sandhill madness

They arrived back in Wisconsin about 3 weeks ago or so. They always look a bit awkward standing out in a field during a snow storm. Always enjoy watching them.

My LCP and I parted ways.

Picked up a 7 round extended mag for the Sig. Really think the trigger is much more to my liking than the LCP's long pull. Now I need to find time for another visit to the range. For those that still like the LCP I'm happy for you, nice little gun but in the long run it just was not right for me.

My LCP and I parted ways.

First off let me state that I am well aware the LCP is not by any means any thing more than a close in weapon. I liked the way it carried easily in my pocket. My problem was hitting a target at 25'. Maybe my aging eyes, maybe the lack of a real set of sights. Anyway a couple of retired friends...
