I dropped my cylinder stop spring and plunger somewhere in the house and haven't been able to locate it yet. Assuming I have to replace it where is the best place to buy them?
Measure yours get on GunBroker and find a seller that will measure the one they have for you to see if the measurement is the same or greater than yours. There are a lot of Mag cylinders on GB but no LR cylinders for the other guy.

I need to ream the throats on my GP100 to .3580 or .3585. If you have one I would really appreciate being able to borrow or rent it since I only need to do one gun.
Some people take pride in knowing that they learned how to do something, especially something as simple as cutting a barrel with hand tools and getting good results.
You might post up in the Ruger-Smithing forum, offer up a deposit and possibly a rental fee. Who knows someone may have one that doesn't get used often that they would be willing to let someone use.
I would see if there is someone that would rent you a facing tool and an 11 degree crown cutting tool just to make sure it will still shoot but other than that I would chop it up. :lol:
The only real advantage I see that it has over the 44 mag is the wide range of .452 jacketed bullets. I shoot mostly cast bullets but I occasionally dream of splitting a coyote open with a 230 grain Gold Dot rocketing along at 1500fps, the availability and variety of bullets intended for 45 ACP...
You will have to try it and see, different primers take different amounts of force to ignite. Take all the springs to the range with you, start with the lightest spring and if you have a FTF because of a light strike move up one spring and restart your test.
