    OM Single Six Query

If your gun was shipped from the factory with a 4 5/8 in. bl. then it is 1 of only 200 made. It is a very rare gun as most collectors don't have one. I would get a letter from Ruger to be sure. Until I get that letter I would be careful about shooting the Heck out of it. If it is at least...

1980 Ruger Stainless mark 1 confirmed by ruger ! Target

If it was stainless steel, then it would have a (K) in the model number. As it doesn't then it came from the factory as BLUE.

    1953 Standard

It looks as if your gun is a tapered bolt. Look at the back of the bolt the ears should taper in towards the center of the bolt.

    Another Red Eagle

I can't tell for sure but if the serial number is 0600. I used to own that gun. I let it go to the Potato Farmer when I sold my collection of Rugers. If it is serial number 0600 then it is one fine Red Eagle. I'm sure that you enjoy owning it.

    Star Rugers

I'm sure that Ruger used the same barrels for both the Star and the convertibles. After all, when Ruger started making the .22 Mag. they started using the larger bore size for both the .22 LR and the .22 Mag. guns.

    Standard Red Eagle Value

Shouldn't that box be a one piece box instead of a 2 piece box. The one piece box will look just like the 2 piece box only the top will be hinged making it a one piece box. Also, it looks as if the paperwork is a later version as it is "revised October 10, 1952. A year or two after this gun...

    Single Six date of manufacture

Ruger usually uses a number to show the barrel length of a Single-Six. RSS4 for a 4 5/8 in. bl. RSS5 for a 5 1/2 in. bl. RSS9 for a 9 1/2 in. bl. In 1959 when Ruger came out with the Single-Six with a 6 1/2 in. bl. instead of calling it a RSS6, they call it a RSSM as that gun was only made in a...
